Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at these Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro LED combo pod lights with brackets. These 3 inch LED combo pod lights are gonna be great for seeing near and far, and they're gonna give you bright light with reduced glare for improved visibility and safety. As you can see, I have this light connected to my power source already, and I also have one of the brackets installed on the light. So these brackets are going to allow you to install these lights virtually anywhere on your vehicle.

And it does come with a hardware to install the bracket with the light to your vehicle and also the hardware to install the light to the bracket. And what's nice about using this bracket is you're gonna be able to adjust the angle of that light wherever you want it. Once you have that angle set, you'll just tighten down the hardware on either side of that light and bracket, and you will be good to go. This does show.. I do have this bracket here.

Obviously, that's not installed to this other light, just to show you what this looks like. This is constructive durable aluminum, so it's gonna hold up really well for you. You're not gonna have to worry about corrosion. It's gonna stand up to the elements really well. Now let me go ahead and turn my studio lights off here and go for a wide view just to give you an overall look at what this light is gonna look like in dark conditions.

And I'm gonna go ahead and see if I can shine this on the wall behind me without crossing my wires there. Now this combo pattern beam is actually a mix between a driving light beam and a floodlight beam. So this light is gonna be great for, basically, all around use. This light has a color temperature of 3000 kelvin, so that yellow color is going to be great for bad weather. It's gonna especially be great in cutting through the rain and the fog.

And both of these lights have a raw lumen rating of 5,220 lumens and a measured lumen rating of 2,700 lumens. And even with my studio lights on, you can still see how bright these lights are going to be. And going back to a close up here, lemme go ahead and turn the light off here so I'm not continuing to blind you. These lights are going to have a peak beam intensity of 33,406 candela. Now candela ratings actually measure the directional light output, and it's how anything is rated where you want light shining in a specific direction. Lumen ratings are just for omnidirectional output, like your regular light bulbs where you do want light shining in all directions. But for a more detailed description of these ratings, you can visit this product page on our website or Diode Dynamics provides additional information that you can find. So these lights have a power draw of 2.7 amps, and these lights are designed with a newer technology known as custom TIR optics. TIR stands for total internal reflection. So unlike the older technology that uses reflectors or simple projector lenses, which aren't really efficient at focusing all of the light where you want it, this custom designed large TIR optic actually collects and focuses all the light forward very efficiently. And then instead of having another external lens, certain lens patterns have been molded directly into the lens surface. That's gonna prevent the normal efficiency loss that you see with an outside lens. As you might know, when you shine light through any type of glass or plastic, you're gonna lose some of that light. You could lose up to 10% of it just from it's shining through. So by making it as a part of this lens, you're actually gonna pick up some efficiency rather than losing it. Now this does include the industry standard integrated Diode-style connector pigtail. So that's gonna plug right into the back of the light just like so. These lights also have a breather patch on the back, and that's gonna prevent any moisture buildup. And also heatsinks on the back of the housing that's gonna do a great job of dissipating the heat quickly to increase the longevity of these lights. Now these lights have been built with high-intensity LED chips, and they do feature a durable powered coated aluminum construction. And that heavy-duty construction is gonna withstand extreme temperatures, corrosion, vibration. These have been tested to SAE standards, just like your factory lighting components on your vehicle. And an interesting fact is that Diode Dynamics actually designed, and engineered, and assembled these lights right down the highway from us at their headquarters here in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area. Let's go over some measurements. Looking at the overall width from end to end, we're sitting pretty close to 3 and a quarter inches. That's gonna be the same for the height. But then when you add the bracket measuring from the top of the light to the bottom of our bracket, we're gonna be sitting right at about 3-3/4 inches tall. When you're looking at the depth from the front of the light to the back of our heat sinks, it's about 2-3/8 inches deep. Now these lights do draw a high current, and it does require adequately sized wiring for safe operation. So if you're not using a Diode Dynamics wiring harness, you wanna be sure that you're using wiring that's 16 gauge or larger to ensure that safe operation.
